A Frog's Life

By Evelyn Wood

Children's | Paperback

The third book of the series, Exploring with Too Woo. A frog's life is about frogs, their toad cousins, and fascinating amphibian lives. Frogs live all over the world, even managing to withstand freezing their own bodies. Cold-blooded, but astonishingly similar to mammals biologically, they perhaps offer a glimpse of a common ancestor. From an egg protected and nourished by frogspawn through its development first as the vegetarian fish like tadpole to becoming the carnivorous frog “A frog's life” is a journey of discovery into the lives and habits of one of nature's most treasured and diverse creatures. Fully illustrated in colour with Evelyn Wood's usual mix of fact and fun, anatomical diagrams, cartoons a quiz and colouring pages.

Evelyn Wood is an author and illustrator. He has lived and worked in a number of countries in Europe, Africa and Asia. In each he was able to learn about local flora and fauna. In addition to writing and art he gives school and library talks on nature topics.
