Demiurge: Blood of the Innocent

By Michael Hagan

Crime & mystery | Paperback, eBook

The renowned archaeologist, James McKenzie, has uncovered many prophecies, each with a mysterious symbol accompanying their inscription. Now, edifices of this symbol are reappearing, not engraved in aged rock, but painted in blood above the victims of a serial killer, and the fanatical cult he serves. Detective Hassom is charged with the task of making sense of this slaughter and capturing the perpetrators. Corruption, collusion and the discovery that Lucas, a strangely gifted eight year old orphan, is the primary target of the murderous cult force Detective Hassom and Professor McKenzie to work together to solve the murders. In their efforts to protect Lucas and reveal the ultimate goal of the cult leader and how this relates to the final, revelatory prophecy discovered in Iran, they unearth a truth, more terrible than anything they could have feared.

Having lived in Temecula, CA, and Belfast, Northern Ireland, where he was born in 1970, Michael R. Hagan now resides with his family of four in the idyllic town of Dromore, Co. Down, a short distance from its impressive Norman Mound...a shorter distance from the home of the town’s famed home-made ice-cream. Possessing a long-suppressed passion for literature and fascination with history; after a career in high value sales and property development, he now reflects on how more beautifully romantic than the life of a hungry business person, is the concept of a starving artist.

Just finished this book and i must admit it was one book i didn't want to put down to i was finished it all
it was very interesting. Never read a book like it (something else!) I read the reviews saying the end was amazing and unguessable... Is that a word?
I always see the end by halfway through...I thought I had it, but no..........I'll have to concur. The end is perfect, but no-one will ever see it coming. (unfortunately, a very rare thing in recent books I've read)

Total Joy to Read... A frightening new and unique take on the whole 'meaning of life' and the very definition of the phrase 'Page Turner.'
