Fire of the Fallen

By James Douglas Wallace

Fantasy | Paperback, eBook

In a land where magic is both an honor and a curse, finding one’s way is not an easy thing. Some embrace the Dark, preying on the weak and consuming their fear. Many aspire to its power, intent on wielding it for good. And there are those who want little more than to rid themselves of it entirely, unsure of what they have become. But one thing is certain: among those who channel the Current there is little difference between hero and monster. When at last its ancient power surges through your hands, which will they call you? When wielders of the Dark decimate the protectors of the realm, and lead a horde of enemy warriors to regain the kingdoms they believe are rightly theirs, a group of unlikely friends finds itself in the middle of the fray. An outcast cursed to live her life in the shadows, a prisoner condemned to become a mage, and a young Halfling girl who longs for adventure team together to pursue the malevolence that both threatens their existence and promises their salvation. They are four strangers torn from their homes; four heroes destined for greatness. Three will save their people. One will break the world. A mix of “Sword of Truth” and “Game of Thrones”, “Fire of the Fallen” will appeal to fans of epic fantasy as well as readers who like the darker side of human nature.
