Little Sowbug & the Big Flood

By Mary Vigliante Szydlowski

Children's | Paperback, eBook

Little Sowbug loves his home in the woodpile! His whole family lives there. His mother and father. His grandparents. His aunts, uncles, and cousins. It's a great place to live. There are lots of things to eat nearby: wormy apples, mushy brown fruit, and plenty of juicy, rotten leaves. There's a stream down the hill from his house. Little Sowbug likes the water. He thinks it's pretty and hopes to visit it someday. But when it rains, the water suddenly starts rising. And it doesn't stop! It keeps coming closer and closer and closer! That's when Little Sowbug decides he doesn't like the water and wants it to go back down the hill where it belongs!
