Nesly Clerge

Nesly Clerge received his bachelor’s degree in physiology and neurobiology at the University of Maryland, and later pursued a doctoral degree in the field of chiropractic medicine. Although his background is primarily science-based, he has finally embraced his lifelong passion for writing. Clerge’s debut novel, When the Serpent Bites, is due out in 2015, with the sequel to follow. His debut novel explores choices, consequences, and the complexities of human emotions, especially when we are placed in a less-than-desirable setting. When he is not writing, Clerge manages several multidisciplinary clinics. He enjoys reading, chess, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with his significant other and his sons.

Hello, Judith

Erotica is not really a genre that I enjoy; however, I do applaud the authors of that genre since it involves a vivid imagination. I’m actually quite curious when it comes to Sci-fi and I’ll probably explore it in the future. I've purchased your book "Planet Woman", and I'll post a review in probably three weeks.

Hello Nesly,

That's very good. I was hoping that you would have a look at "Planet Woman". I'm sorry that you bought it, though. I could have arranged a gift. However, very many thanks.

Hello Nesly,
I would like to review “When the Serpent Bites” on its release. You may like to see one or two of my reviews which have been posted on my blog: http://www.judithrook.com/reviews-written-by-judith-rook . They will give you an idea of my style.
Perhaps my novel to be released in a week’s time will not be up your street. “The Three Ways of Desire” is an erotic romance which I wrote as a type of challenge to myself, to see if I could write a book where sexual content is used to enhance a strong storyline – not the other way around (a weak storyline used only to hang sex scenes on). I think I have done that, but this genre is not to everyone’s taste, and I will understand if you don’t write a review for it.
Do you have an interest in Sci-fi? My other two novels may be more approachable to you. Again, there’s a distinct romance element in them, but they really fall into the speculative fiction/space opera genre, and I do a lot of world-building. Have a look at my author page and let me know if you would like to have a closer look at them. http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B00XKRR09O?ref_=pe_1724030_132998070

Hello Nesly,

Thank you for your message and for the details of the books.

I'll certainly have a better look at "When the Serpent Bites" when it is released in October. Will you be able to give yourself a good three weeks to a month for editing, if you're doing that yourself?

My MS is finished and has been uploaded to Smashwords and Kindle. It will be released on September 15th.

I'm taking a couple of days' break from novel writing; I am in the middle of a short story (about 8,000 words)about feisty grandmas. After that, I will get going on Book 3 in my Sci-fi series and also on Book 2 of my erotic Romance story.

Do you find that writing never stops; that ideas keep emerging? Like yourself, I did not write for years and years and then one day, when I had stopped working full-time I just began writing, without any mental preparation or intention at all. I still find that quite strange.

Yes, Judith

The world of writing is a strange one. One day you experience emptiness, and the next day―the ideas are overflowing. I already have the fourth novel written in my head. I work with a very good editor and her name is Joyce Shafer. Producing an error-free prose is a fantasy because we are human; it’s my opinion that a second or third eye is always important, that’s why I use an editor. Revisions are imperative. Bestselling novels aren’t written, they are re-written, and I had to revise my novel several times. Please let me know when your novel is published. I’ll buy it and write an honest review for you. I am currently in the editorial review stage. I’ve submitted to Kirkus and other book reviews. I almost died in amazement when I received the email from Readers’ Favorite and it was a five star review for my book. Are you submitting your book for review?

Hello Nesley,
Very nice to meet you. I had a look at your impressive website. It could build into something really good. Are you ready for your entry into on-line marketing? It's a world on its own, but I think, from your sample, that you have a very sound product to sell. Best of luck. Keep writing.

Hello, Judith.

Thank you for the kind words. Marketing can be a very daunting task, but I'm ready to embrace the challenge. I looked at your facebook page as well--congratulations on your page--and your series. Are you still revising your manuscript?
