Business | eBook

International bestselling author Jacques Magliolo's first book (published in 1995) is being re-released. Share Analysis and Company Forecasting is an essential guide to understanding the complex and exciting world of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. The book reveals how analysts at the country's leading stockbroking firms forecast company results and pick their winning shares. Jacques explains in simple language the workings of the JSE, one of the world's largest stock markets in terms of market capitalisation, and the way in which the various market players interact to buy and sell shares in order to make money. Share Analysis and Company Forecasting also shows the investor how top analysts assess a company: from the initial stage of collecting information through to the final recommendation on whether to buy, sell or hold a share. Today, Jacques is the CEO of Business Consultants International and operates as a strategist. Jacques has been an investment and corporate strategist since 1987. He started his career as a financial journalist for the Financial Mail, before being headhunted into stockbroking. Since 1987, Jacques has worked for numerous publications and stockbroking firms, including the publications Business Day, Mail & Guardian, the UK-based Petroleum Economist and The Star. On the analytical side, Jacques has worked for EW Baldersons, IBCA International, Frankel Pollak Vinderine, CA Miller Raw & Co and was director and head of research at Global Capital Securities. Share Analysis & Company Forecasting is the first financial book published by Jacques.
