Chase Newton, an investigative reporter with the New York Times, Washington Bureau, gets a phone call; the president and vice president have been attacked. The vice president survived, but now they are coming after him. The man they just sworn in, is an imposter and Chase must get a DNA from him to prove who the real president is. His quest takes him to Mogadishu, Ramstein AFB, and the vice president’s residence on the Naval Observatory. Additionally, Chase’s wife has been abducted, and he has 48 hours to save her and the country.




About the author: Novelist Bryan M. Powell was born in Scranton, PA, on August 20th or 21st 1950, (the dates vary depending on who you talk to), grew up in New Castle, Delaware, graduated from William Penn High School and soon left to go to Bible College. Upon graduation in 1971, he and his wife, Patty entered the ministry. Their calling led them to dozens of churches throughout the south and mid-west. For the last twenty-eight years, they have served churches throughout the Atlanta area. Currently, they live in Dallas, Georgia, where they enjoy reading, travel, an occasional round of golf (with Patty driving the cart), and spending time with their two grown children and seven grandchildren. Bryan brings with him a wide array of talent and ability. Along with being a published novelist, he is also a composer/arranger, having over eighty choral and instrumental pieces to his credit. Having been in the ministry for over forty-two years, he is uniquely qualified to write on topics of interest to the church. His first book was written In Palm Springs CA, while on their fortieth anniversary. See Jesus, a Three Dimensional Look at Worship and its sequel, An Audience of One were born out of that week. His career as a novelist began in 2011 with his Stranger Series; Stranger in the Pulpit, and Stranger in the White House, published by Tate Publishing. Of the thirteen mystery novels he’s written, his most-recent success, being published through Amazons Kindle Direct Publishing as an E-book, is now available. Sisters of the Veil, is the first of in the Jared Russell Series. Additionally, he is currently working on a Creative Memoir. He is a member of the nationally known ACFW, American Christian Fiction Writers, The Christian Author’s Guild, The Paulding County Writers Guild, and the local chapter of ACFW, the New Life Writers Group.
