This book covers a research work of about three decades by way of collection of centuries old handwritten manuscripts, mostly in Arabic and Persian languages and getting these translated in to Urdu and now in English. Part I deals with the history of unique way of introduction of Islam in Kashmir, description of fourteen Sufi orders and those that are common in Kashmir. Part II covers the translation of 150 year old Persian poetry manuscript based on the brief biographies and miraculous powers of saints and part III describes the brief life sketches of these saints and those of their preceptors collected from different available sources.



Born in Kashmir India in December 1942, educated in Jammu & Kashmir University, passed degree engineering in honors grade from Annamalai University South India, served J&K Government PWD for 40 years, retired as Chief Engineer, Chartered Engineer, Fellow Institution of Engineers India, elected Chairman Institution of Engineers J&K State Center, Member Indian Road Congress, Member American Society of Civil Engineers, authored over thirty books, presented over seventy papers in seminars, free lance writer, traveled in India and abroad.
