Irish and born in Cork City. I spent most of my life developing support services for vulnerable people in London, North Wales, Asia, the Caribbean, eastern Europe. This extraordinary privilege has allowed me to see reality from a variety of perspectives. My novel was inspired by my grandson and my desire to communicate to him what it means to be Irish.
