8-12 yrs old Middle Grade Adventure. Every small town in America has a house that is, well, creepy, spooky, scary even and Alex Powell inherited such a house in the small town of Danville USA. Oh and it's haunted. Alex and his new friends find The Library within the old house, discover the ghosts are the shades of the Mountfield family, Ghost Hunters and Treasure Seekers, and seek to release them, so they can move on. But Alex is not the only stranger in town... Action and adventure as Alex and his friends travel through time to Australia, the Titanic, and 1942 London during the Blitz to free the ghosts and find the Treasure.

Simon Hartwell was born in Huntingdon England in 1965. I started writing in 2014 and found it an exhilarating adventure as the story came to life, the characters becoming living breathing entities on the page and I would often scribble down thoughts and ideas in the middle of the night, firing up the computer and writing chapter after chapter just to keep up with my thoughts. Since that first story, “Quentin James and the Undercover Agent”, I have written twelve more novels, choosing the self-published route and just released: The Library / The Library : Augustus and my latest novel - The O'Brien's Detective Agency.
