The Mango Tree

By Shaji Jose Parayil

Literary fiction, General fiction | Paperback, eBook

In today's modern world, what does it take to stay happy? "The Mango Tree" follows the story of Balu, a young boy growing up in a small Indian village, as he and those around him struggle to find their place in the world. Balu's story is interwoven with vignettes that follow the lives of the god Krishna and his wife Radha as they, too, struggle to understand our world. Spanning an entire lifetime of love, loss, and self-discovery, this story handles big questions with a delicate touch.

An engineer and a banker, Shaji Jose Parayil studied in India and in Germany.
