Gereinte Andolin, heir to the throne of Carentan is abducted and sold into servitude to a rough sea-faring tribe called the Coustillers. During Gereinte’s time aboard the Skyelady brig, his family is plagued by endless plots to undermine their authority and subvert the rightful heir to the throne. After a year at sea, he forges alliances across the Western Isles, during which time he procures a magical blue sword and rescues a princess.



Frances (FG) lives and works in London, UK and has previously been published in a variety of magazines, including, Liquid Imagination, Aurora Wolf, The New Accelerator and Electric Spec. She has been collaborating with her father, Derek Laval, on the Carentan Series. Derek (DC) is the co-author of a book about Brunel’s tunnel under the Thames – “Brunel’s tunnel…and where it led.” He was involved in the compilation of its sequel – “Brunel’s Tunnel” in May 2006. A lifelong science fiction and fantasy reader, he has latterly taken to writing and collaborating with his daughter Frances in writing various fantasy novels.
