By Peter Grant

Comedy & satire, Short stories, Fantasy | eBook

Is the Genie of the Skunk friend or foe to Irish-Arabian Prince Al-Eddie-din? Al-Eddie-din is kind but naive and finds that two genies are two more than he can handle. Stinkybad, the Jinni of the Skunk is dazzling and crafty, while Sylvania, the Afrit of the Lamp is as dim as his old oil lamp. As if things weren’t going badly enough, his mother appears demanding a palace and it looks like Al-Eddie-din is the only person in 1,002 Arabian Nights who won’t get even one wish.

We had to add an extra Arabian Night to find a jinni as crafty as Stinkybad, the Jinni of the Skunk. Peter Grant started writing nonfiction and, as you can see from the summary of this story, took a major turn into fiction. All eight collections and all fifty-seven individual Stinky Stories are Amazon bestsellers, enjoyed by readers on six continents. Even Scheherazade doesn't have a lot of penguin fans. They don't get the sand references. The seventh continent is one big, tough room.
