From Generation to Generation

By Jane Larkin

Biography & memoir, Religion & spirituality | Paperback, eBook

An inspirational tale of love and faith, From Generation to Generation tells the true story of one Jewish woman as she struggles to navigate the difficulties of interfaith dating—and its inspiration behind her surprising religious reawakening. Jane Larkin knew the statistics: those belonging to interfaith households are more likely to lose their beliefs, neglect regular worship, and raise nonreligious children. All of this and more spurs her to marry a man whom she doesn’t love, but who nevertheless shares her faith. Their marriage quickly crumbles, and Jane finds herself falling in love with a non-Jewish man. Before she knows it, Jane commits to the exact thing she had hoped to avoid: an interfaith marriage. As the newlyweds attempt to navigate their respective religions, Jane embarks on a journey that brings her face-to-face with her deepest fears—and a religious skeleton in her genealogical closet that will change everything.
