Mischief in Italy

By Beate Boeker

Romance | Paperback, eBook

All Henry wants is a serious talk with his grown-up son Josh about the wrong women in Josh's life. However, the conversation immediately spins out of control and somehow, they reach a compromise that leaves Henry highly uncomfortable. Has he really promised to place a personal ad in a newspaper to have more fun in his life? And why on earth did he agree to put the words “house with pool at Lake Garda” into the ad? He doesn't want any gold diggers at his heels! To counteract the undeniable attraction of a villa in Italy, he comes up with an unusual concept for his ad, and from then on, mischief is running rampant in Italy. This romantic comedy is supposed to be taken like an after-dinner-mint – a sense of freshness and sweetness will linger and stay with you when you've finished the last line.

Beate Boeker has been a traditionally published author since 2008 with a passion for books that brim over with mischief & humor. Several of her novels were shortlisted for the Golden Quill Contest, the National Readers' Choice Award, the 'Best Indie Books' contest, and the RONE Award. In 2013, she hit the Amazon bestseller list in the category "international mystery & crime" with “Delayed Death”, the first in the series “Temptation in Florence”. By day, Beate is a marketing manager with a degree in International Business Administration, and her daily experience in marketing continuously provides her with a wide range of fodder for her novels, be it hilarious or cynical. Widely traveled, she speaks German (her mother language), English, French and Italian and lives in the North of Germany together with her husband and daughter. While 'Boeker' means 'books' in a German dialect, her first name Beate can be translated as ‘Happy’ . . . and with a name that reads ‘Happy Books’, what else could she do but write novels with a happy end?
