Oliver the Toaster

By EM Olson

Children's | Paperback, eBook

Early one Saturday morning, a five year old boy named Oliver decides that he doesn't want to be ordinary any more. He chooses to become a toaster instead. Using a cardboard box and crayons, he makes a costume for his transformation. Oliver spends his day proving that a toaster can do anything an ordinary boy can do. Along the way, he learns an important lesson about himself. This children's story explores the use of imagination and one of the best toys of all time, an empty box. While costumes have their limits, imagination does not.

EM Olson is a father of two from Michigan. He enjoyed many happy hours reading to his own kids and has begun writing children's books of his own. He is also a business attorney and committed to the principal that imagination is the one crucial skill that everyone needs to get by in life. You must first imagine that a problem can be solved, before you can solve it.
