Remember The Moon

By Abigail Carter

Literary fiction, Paranormal | Paperback, eBook

"The Lovely Bones" meets "Ghost", this is the inspiring story of everlasting love that reaches far beyond the grave. Jay is a successful businessman, husband, and father. His sudden death leaves his wife, Maya, hollow with grief, and their seven-year-old son, Calder, spins destructively out of control. With help from a spirited afterlife therapist, Jay revisits his past, discovering hard truths about himself and the world he left behind. He attempts to comfort Maya and Calder in their grief, while discovering his true "spirit" self. When Maya hires a psychic to communicate with him, Jay learns her darkest secret and in his shock, inadvertently sends her on a path of ill-fated romance. Confronted with the decision to either follow his mortal instincts or help his wife find love, Jay must learn to transcend everything he ever was.

Abigail Carter was an expat Canadian living in New Jersey with her husband and two children, when her husband died in the attack on the twin towers on 9/11. Following the catastrophe, Abby moved to Seattle with her children and began writing to try to come to terms with what had happened to her family. That act opened another world to her and she wrote The Alchemy of Loss: A Young Widow's Transformation as a form of catharsis after her husband's death in the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001. She self-published a novel, Remember the Moon in 2014. Her work has also appeared in SELF magazine, Reader's Digest Canada, MSN.com, Huffington Post, and MORE.com and she maintains blogs at abigailcarter.com and alchemyofloss.com.
