Her first novel, "Experimenting with Murder” is a fantasy/sci-fi book about mermaids (published 2014). Her "Skipping Childhood: A Novel" was released December 2016. This dark urban suspense drama also qualifies as a psychological thriller. Baker is a divorced single parent. She lives in California, where she spends time with family and friends when she’s not writing. Her love of writing is credited to author Charles Keyes and his book: The Courage to Write.
