Sting like a Butterfly

By PJ McDermott

Young adult, Short stories | eBook

Fifteen-year-old Davie is no hero. He’d much rather cross to the other side of the road than risk getting in a fight. So when the school bully demands his seat in the bus, he has a decision to make. An assignation is made: after school, behind the gasworks! But that’s only the start... Meet Davie and his pals, Billy The Kid and Fat Harry, in this true to life, feel-good and funny short story about courage and friendship in late 20th century Glasgow.

PJ McDermott grew up in Scotland. As a schoolboy, he read Sci Fi morning and night reveling in the genius of Asimov, Herbert, Niven, Moorcock and Le Guin (don't forget H.G. Wells!). These days he enjoys the fantasy novels of Robin Hobb, George Martin and the modern SF writers, Vaughn Heppner and Alex Weir.
