Murder. Conspiracy. Assassination. From modern day Syria, to the Vatican, to 1950's Scotland, a thriller in three parts. In 1953 twelve year old Peter lives in a claustrophobic Scottish mining village where he finds his first love but is involved with her killing. He escapes to Spain while multiple cover-ups end with another person being accused, tried, convicted and hanged. This is only the beginning of Peter's journey that takes him all the way to the Vatican and beyond.

GEORGE Wilkie retired from newspapers in 2010, leaving behind him a chequered portfolio career ranging over 50 years – from being a photojournalist to a picture editor, an author and lecturer.
