Fantasy, Comedy & satire, New adult fiction, Hybrid & other | Paperback, eBook

"Cinderella meets 1984". Ænathlin, the last surviving city of the fae, is facing civil war. The city, unable to support itself, steals goods from the human world via the use of Mirrors, ancient pathways between worlds. For hundreds of years, the Mirrors have run on belief — belief created and harvested by the telling of stories. Only now the Mirrors are breaking, and no one knows why. And so we meet Bea, a cabbage fairy and wannabe godmother. She has managed to wrangle her way into running an official, albeit small, plot. However, once she actually starts work on her story, she uncovers a terrible secret and is forced to make an impossible choice: in order to do what's right, she must change the plot — a crime so serious she would face the full fury of the General Administration and its monstrous, three-headed Beast...

I am a fantasy lover, especially Terry Pratchett, and a huge geek. I love reading, but I think I love writing more; after all, how else would I get to experience the joy of having my imaginary friends ignore everything I want them to do?!

Writer's Digest 24th Annual Self-published Book Awards

5 January

Just before Christmas, I was absolutely delighted to receive a glowing review for The Fairy's Tale from the Judge of the 24th Annual Writer's Digest Self-published Book Awards (2016). The Judge stated "I loved this book (...) I read most of it in a single sitting. I wanted to find out what happened to the characters. I do hope that you find a sizeable audience who will enjoy this book as much as I did." The Fairy's Tale was rated 'Outstanding' for Plot and Story Appeal; Structure, Organization and Planning; Character Appeal and Development; Voice and Writing Style, and finally, Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar.
