The Whitechapel Affair (The Secret of Aldwych Strand 3)

By Sarah E Smith

Sci-Fi | Paperback, eBook

Lucy is lost. Churchill is dead. The machinery which harnesses the power of the distortion has been destroyed and the Armstrongs have found the perfect revenge: the destruction of time itself. In such circumstances the only thing that’s certain is: it’s the End of Days. With time folding in on itself, Mark has to trust Valentin Von Schmidt and the Cabinet he works for. Only it’s never that simple, is it? Undertaking the greatest transformation of his life, Mark has little time to remember Lucy. Fortunately she is not alone. A Welsh lawyer and an American from Hannibal Missouri are there to rescue her. But why? What does she need rescuing from? After all, as anyone who is anyone will tell you, nothing happened in Whitechapel in the Autumn of 1888. As time unravels completely, as the Cabinet are destroyed one by one; it soon becomes clear that the only way to put things right is to send Lucy home so the Destroyer can return. But can Mark fulfil Hitchcock’s prophecy or will friendship prove too much? Find out as the Aldwych Strand reaches its gruesome and explosive conclusion. The third in this stunning trilogy will leave you wanting to enjoy the adventure time and time again.

Born in Plymouth, Sarah has always telling stories because she has always been reading. If her parents lost her, they could find her amongst a pile of books. Quite early on she realised there were three ways to travel stow away in the TARDIS, study history and write a book. The publication of the Secret of Aldwych Strand(1) completes this trilogy. You see not only did she study history at University; she has been inside the TARDIS and she has travelled with the Doctor - but they were in a car and she was driving. The Secret of Aldwych Strand triology is not autobiographical but like all good stories there is an element of truth in all things. If dreams could come true Sarah would like to be a "Lady who Lunches". However, her cat @blofelds_cats wants to take over the world. So: please, help him out by buying into Mark and Lucy's adventures. If you enjoy the books; tell her. If you don't - please be constructive
