I've always been an avid reader and two reasons I became a writer were, I wanted to be as good as the writers who so thoroughly entertained me and because I thought I could write better stories than some of the writers I was reading. Many years later I still feel more or less the same way. I like the term speculative fiction. It means I can skip around the genres a bit. I mostly write paranormal / fantasy / horror but am quite happy throwing in just plain weird stuff that sits nicely under the speculative fiction tag . Please take a look at my website http:\\chrismawbey.weebly.com for an idea of what I write. I've got two novels, DARKEST CORNERS OF THE MIND and THE DEAD HAVE NO SHADOWS published as ebooks and in print format; plus two collections of short stories, SHADES OF IMAGINATION and WHO WILL I BE TODAY on sale as e-books. When I'm not dreaming up new stories I enjoy reading, eating, drinking and sleeping - not necessarily in that order. I'm from Derby, England.
